I've been very brave in letting Oscar off on his long lead in the park, as I usually only allow this kind of fun up the hill. It makes me smile to see just how happy my boy is when he gets this freedom. There he was chasing after his ball and then showing it off to all his pals and leading them on a lovely run!

Like you we need to be careful! It is OK when they are engaged in play with another dog - even then they can sniff and wander off!
This is the problem with scent hounds but it is a delight to see them running free.

so many friends! the only time i get to see sapphire run free is in her dog-sitter's house. i'm not brave enough to let her off leash ;p
