Two collars, one coupling chain and one extender lead. As you can see from below it was a rousing success (if you don't count the few incidents where Oscar and Ruby looked like a Push me-Pull me). I haven't given up altogether on off-lead play but I'm giving my stress levels a time to lower!!!

We know the problems of hounds and recall - ok as long as there isn't an interesting scent in the air.
ReplyDeleteI remember those days when Martha would never let me out of her sight - now she is just like Bailey - off in pursuit of goodness knows what.
Well it is progress but you do get very tired!
I looked at those coupling chains but not sure cos Martha is so much bigger than Bailey.
Bailey can be a grumpy thing sometimes and I thought she might object to being dragged by Martha.
It seems to be working quite well with Oscar and Ruby in those pics.

Our mom uses a double leash like that for us. Works great because we help keep each other in line but hang on tight if your pups see a rabbit!!
